Hobcaw Barony

The Hobcaw Barony Discovery Center is a multifunctional facility with educational and historical exhibits, a hands-on learning classroom, complete with live animals, as well as a gift shop and conference room. All showcasing what the Barony encompasses. The Discover Center is operated as a partnership between the Belle W. Baruch Foundation, which owns Hobcaw Barony, and the North Inlet Winyah Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (NERR). The goal of the Discovery Center is to provide information pertaining to the history, ecology, and research of the property for visitors. Tours and programs conducted by the Foundation and NERR staff originate from the Discovery Center.

All tours and programs require a reservation.  Due to limited availability of space on their tours, we encourage you to make reservations online.  Should you wish to pay in cash, please check the availability of space on the tour you desire before arriving at the Discovery Center.  Tours fill up quickly and they cannot guarantee space will be available.
