Looking to get into the vacation “spirit” while you are visiting? The Grand Strand offers an abundant array of places from tiki-bars to upscale restaurants. Here are a few of our favorite beachy drinks.

CHERRY BAYBREEZE

2 oz. cherry vodka, 3 oz. cranberry juice, 1.5 oz. of pineapple juice. Mix all ingredients in a tall glass and add a lime wedge. A new twist on an old fav!

WHISKEY PEACH TEA

1.5 oz. peach whiskey, .5 oz. peach puree, 6 oz. tea, lemon wedge. Fill glass with crushed ice. Add whiskey, tea and peach puree. Garnish with a slice of lemon.

OYSTER SHOOTER

While recipes vary, the basic version includes a single raw oyster, a little beer, some hot sauce and a splash of Bloody Mary mix, served with a lemon wedge. Some add vodka or tequila. Look for them at any seafood house that serves the tasty little mollusks!

And for the kiddies…

BATMAN

.4 oz. orange juice, 2 oz. lemon-lime soda, .5 oz. grenadine syrup. Fill the glass with ice, pour in the grenadine syrup, then the orange juice, followed by the soda. Top with an orange slice.

SMURF

Fill glass with ice and sprite, splash Blue Curacao, top with whipped cream and a cherry – So yummy!
